Independence Day 2009

Another wonderful day of celebration. We had the perfect 4th of July. We started out the day at the ward breakfast at Mariposa Park where I (Heather) did the 5K fun run. After that we went with some friends to a cute parade in Corrales. We then came home and after lunch went swimming for a couple of hours. After a full morning and afternoon we all took naps. We had a delicious barbeque dinner, then lit our own fireworks in the front yard. We had a special treat, thanks to several of our neighbors who had no problem breaking the law with many beautiful illegal fireworks. The fire trucks drove by our house a few times on their way to give fines. May we lend our voices and our efforts to the cause of FREEDOM. I love our nation. I love our freedom! May we all increase our righteous efforts to continue to have a voice and keep this nation free. I know there is hope, I know our voices can be heard. WE CAN REMAIN FREE, it is up to us. .

We stood in front of this sheep pasture at the parade. That was almost more interesting than the parade for some of us.

Pogosa Springs trip

We recently went to Pagosa Springs for a little R&R. It was heavenly. What a wonderful trip! Jake's father is always so kind to let us stay in his lovely cabin. We went with Mom, Dad, Kim, Jake and Adalee. We ate good food, relaxed, went canoeing, fishing, walking, touristing, some went for a dip in the hot springs, and enjoyed all the cabin had to offer. We saw wild turkey, deer, and beautiful stary nights. What a great time!
